A division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Incorporation called DPD or Digital Product Division has introduced its latest Portégés product named a pair of R700. R700 come in R700-S1332W and R700-S1322W. Both Portégés are completed with two 4G WIMAX-ready models. By using these WIMAX, the users especially for professional business will be able to enjoy the benefit of having citywide connectivity at their fingertips.

Toshiba R700 is considered to be the lightest laptop with 13.3 inch screen and it becomes full-performance ultra portable laptop with an integrated DVD drive2. Toshiba R700 is also featured with the latest Intel® Core™ family 2010 CPUs, an Express Card slot, eSATA / USB combo port, 4GB of DDR3 memory, inbuilt webcam and a six-cell battery with long battery life.

The Portégé R700-S1332W in particular ships with a Core i7 CPU and 128GB SSD, while the Portégé steps down to a Core i5 and a 320GB (7200RPM) hard drive. And the Portégé R700-S1322W gets the lower features to a Core i5 and a 320GB (7200RPM) hard drive.

Both WIMAX Portégé porteges will be available on October 12th 2010 through select Toshiba preferred partner and e-tailers. Portégé R700-S1332W is priced $1.699 while for Portégé R700-S1322W is priced $1.34. [engadget]
